Physical Therapy

Our licensed physical therapists have specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of women’s and men’s health and orthopedic conditions. All sessions are one-on-one with your therapist in a private and relaxing treatment room. We thoroughly evaluate all aspects of your condition, including medical history, posture, muscle strength, flexibility and tone. An individualized treatment program is designed to meet your specific needs and goals. We work closely with our referral sources and can collaborate and coordinate treatment with your other health providers.

In addition to pelvic physical therapy and rehabilitation, we also provide other services that you may find beneficial. Myofascial release, dry needling, visceral mobilization, pilates, yoga, and meditation/guided imagery/relaxation techniques are just a few other approaches offered by Desert Physical Therapy that can help you achieve relief from bothersome symptoms.

Men’s Health

At least 10% of men will have some sort of pelvic pain in their lifetime.  Unfortunately, men have a harder time finding help for their pelvic pain. They usually have a diagnosis of chronic prostatitis for pain at penis/scrotum/perineum/anus or hormone issues for erectile dysfunction.   Most health care practitioners will diagnosis their patients with chronic prostatitis and prescribe antibiotics with no help to their pain or dysfunction.  Many men are turned away or can’t find help when many times the issue can be musculoskeletal in nature.  This can also include urinary leakage, urgency, hesitancy and urination with pain.  See the specific symptoms or diagnoses that we treat related to the pelvic floor.
